
In November 2024, the state of Querétaro, in central Mexico, was engulfed in a spiral of extreme violence. President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo praised the state governor, Mauricio Kuri González, during La Mañanera del Pueblo on Wednesday, February 5, held in Querétaro, highlighting his attention to security and the coordination established between his government and the Cabinet of the Government of Mexico following the violent events of November.
Sheinbaum Pardo expressed her recognition to Governor Kuri for his work at the helm of Querétaro since the tragic episodes of October and November of last year. After the incidents, which included attacks resulting in the death of at least 23 people, there has been ongoing work to ensure safety in the region.
The worst massacre in Querétaro occurred at the bar "Los Cantaritos" on the night of Saturday, November 9, where at least 10 people lost their lives and 13 were injured. Since then, there has been a joint effort to prevent new episodes of violence in the entity.
