
At a work meeting to review the progress of the auditing of the 2024 Public Account in Querétaro, the Superior Auditor of the Federation, David Colmenares Páramo, praised the performance of the state government, which had obtained an outstanding result in the review of the 2023 Public Account, being one of the two entities, along with Mexico City, with zero observations.
The person in charge of auditing the 2024 Public Account in Querétaro is Emilio Barriga Delgado, Special Auditor of Federalized Expenditure, who works to support the proper management of federal resources before proceeding with sanctions. David Colmenares extended a special recognition to the Secretary of Finance and the State Comptroller for their coordination and commitment to this achievement.
The governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, highlighted that the entity had not received observations from the Audit in the oversight of its budget. In his words, "In Querétaro, we work and prepare every day with a spirit of transparency and a clear willingness to be accountable, to comply with the law and ensure that every peso serves the Querétaro society."
Emilio Barriga celebrated the work meeting and its purpose of training public servants on the administration and control of federal resources, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulations in the new audit scheme. He congratulated Governor Kuri González for the results of the 2023 Public Account and expressed his commitment to accompany the review of the 2024 Public Account.
Colmenares highlighted the fundamental role of superior auditing in monitoring budget expenditure, reaffirming the ASF's commitment to ensure that every peso is used efficiently for the benefit of citizens. He emphasized the importance of training and prevention as tools to optimize the administration of public resources and avoid irregularities.
