The governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, assured that the state is free from forced disappearances and extermination of individuals by organized crime up to date. He highlighted that, unlike the national situation, in Querétaro 80% of homicides are solved, which contrasts with the current landscape in other parts of the country.
When comparing security in Querétaro with the national crisis, he mentioned the case of the Izaguirre ranch in Teuchitlán, Jalisco, calling it terrifying and expressing gratitude that such a situation has not occurred in Querétaro. He emphasized the importance of working together as society and government to prevent organized crime from affecting the state.
The governor mentioned the challenges that Querétaro still faces in the field of justice, such as the upcoming changes in the Judiciary and national insecurity. He stressed the need to strengthen coordination among prosecutors to improve the investigation and prosecution of crimes, as well as to reinforce preventive actions carried out by local security secretariats.
Kuri González emphasized the importance of combating impunity in Mexico and Querétaro's role in this aspect, mentioning that eight out of ten homicides in the state are solved, which contrasts with the situation at the national level. He reiterated the importance of continuing to work to keep Querétaro a safe place protected from organized crime.
