
A group of armed men shot at a bar in Querétaro, leaving four people injured. The incident occurred on the night of Sunday, May 4th, at the establishment known as ‘La Crudería de Moy’, located in the community of Mompaní, in the municipality of Querétaro. It erupted from a conflict arising from a disagreement over the payment of the bill between the bar staff and several individuals.
According to witnesses, after a discussion and some exchanges of blows, the group of men temporarily left the place only to return minutes later in two vehicles and open fire on the bar. In the attack, four people were injured, three customers and one worker, who were attended to by paramedics from Civil Protection and taken to a hospital in the capital of Querétaro for medical attention.
Authorities have not reported any fatalities, although at least one of the injured is in serious condition. Municipal and State Police agents arrived at the scene to cordon off the area, while forensic experts from the State Attorney General’s Office collected evidence to begin an investigation. The Municipal Public Security Secretariat of Querétaro revealed that the attackers fled in the two vehicles, the characteristics of which have already been shared with law enforcement authorities.
The Secretary of Government of Querétaro, Carlos Alberto Alcaraz Gutiérrez, confirmed that the armed attack left four people injured and announced the closure of the attacked bar. "We will be taking actions arising from these events," said the official.
