Querétaro Reports Zero Observations in Audit

The state of Querétaro has once again resulted with zero observations regarding the use of public resources during the second delivery of the Superior Audit of the Public Account 2023 report, according to the Secretary of the Comptroller, Óscar García. After the presentation of the report by the Superior Audit of the Federation (ASF) to the Chamber of Deputies, it was highlighted that Querétaro was audited in 11 audit processes, with none resulting in observations, resources to be clarified, or amounts to be returned to the federal treasury.

In the first exercise of 2023, published in June, Querétaro also achieved a result free of observations, thus consolidating itself as one of the most transparent entities in the management of federal public resources. The Secretary of the Comptroller pointed out the importance of continuing to work to maintain this level of performance in view of the third delivery of the report, scheduled for February next year.

In the 11 processes included in the audit, aspects such as financial discipline, distribution of shares, resources from the FORTAMUN and FAIS funds, among other items, are evaluated. It was emphasized that these federal resources have specific destinations and throughout the year, exhaustive and digital audits have been carried out by the federation to verify their correct application.

Before this latest report, the ASF has conducted 63 audits in Querétaro for an amount close to 80 billion pesos, all concluded without observations. In total, 74 audits have been carried out in the state, highlighting Querétaro's commitment to transparency in the management of federal resources.
