The government of Mexico has demonstrated a strong position regarding human rights, participating in various international initiatives, including those promoted by the UN. The ambassador of Palestine in Mexico, Nadya Rasheed, praised the role that Mexico can play in the reconstruction of Gaza and in humanitarian aid.

During a visit to Tepic, Nayarit, Rasheed met with various academic, political, and social actors from the Nayarit Solidarity with Palestine movement. During a speech in the main square, the ambassador called for addressing the root causes of the conflict in Gaza, such as occupation and systematic displacement, highlighting that the current peace process has yet to resolve historical injustices.

Rasheed rejected Donald Trump's statements about the resettlement of displaced Palestinians in Egypt and Jordan, labeling this idea as contrary to human rights and international law. The ambassador emphasized that Israel has committed war crimes in Gaza for years, with attacks that have left entire families devastated.

The Palestinian ambassador emphasized the importance of Palestinian sovereignty in the reconstruction and governance of the territory, pointing out that any process must respect the autonomy of the Palestinian people. Furthermore, she called for a permanent ceasefire that encompasses all occupied Palestine, from the West Bank to Gaza.

Rasheed praised Mexico's position in the conflict, highlighting its respect for human rights. Amid cultural and solidarity activities, the ambassador thanked for the support toward her people and advocated for an end to genocide, occupation, and apartheid in Palestine.
