The state authority indicated in a statement that Tepic was the municipality with the highest number of incidents, followed by Bahía de Banderas and Compostela, municipalities with high tourist influx. Thursday, April 17 was identified as the day with the most reports, according to the local Attorney General's Office.

Out of the 98 victims, 81 people were injured, some of these injuries related to "culpable homicides caused by drivers who were allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol or toxic substances." This situation continues to be one of the main causes of traffic accidents during holiday periods.

Additionally, two deaths by drowning were reported: the first occurred on April 13 at Playa Platanitos, municipality of Compostela, and the second on April 19 at the resort El Mamey, in the locality of Mecatán, municipality of San Blas.

The Attorney General's Office assured that it will follow up on the investigations initiated during the holiday period and urged the population to maintain appropriate preventive measures to avoid the occurrence of unfortunate events.
