A 41-year-old American citizen identified as Scott Harvey 'N' was arrested while attempting to bring high-caliber weapons into Mexico through the border with the United States. The detention took place at the international bridge 'El Chaparral' located in Tijuana, Baja California.
During a routine inspection carried out by security authorities at the site, a hidden arsenal was discovered in the vehicle attempting to cross the border. Inside the car, three long firearms, two handguns, 19 magazines, more than 2,000 rounds of various calibers, as well as three gun scopes and a telescope were found. Given this situation, the driver was immediately detained.
The arrest of Scott Harvey 'N' was achieved thanks to the strengthening of security and surveillance at the northern border of Mexico, involving different agencies such as the Secretary of National Defense (Defensa), Secretary of the Navy (Semar), Attorney General's Office (FGR), National Guard (GN), Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), as well as the National Customs Agency of Mexico (ANAM).
After informing the detainee of his constitutional rights, he was made available to the corresponding public prosecutor, who will determine his legal situation and continue the relevant investigations. According to unofficial sources, both the detainee and the seized arsenal belong to the faction known as 'Los Rusos', linked to the criminal organization 'Cártel del Pacífico'.
