Mexican Government Consolidates Strategic Investment in Hospital Care

The State of Mexico's government invested over 52 million pesos in medical equipment to strengthen the healthcare system and help the most vulnerable populations in the Toluca Valley.

The Government of the State of Mexico, led by Delfina Gómez Álvarez, has consolidated a strategic expansion of hospital infrastructure in the Toluca Valley through the acquisition of 35 respiratory ventilators and 1,900 ventilation kits. These are destined for the 'Lic. Adolfo López Mateos' Medical Center.

The function of these devices is to maintain oxygenation until the patient's organism recovers the ability to breathe autonomously, making them a key piece in the care of high-complexity hospital cases.

The 35 ventilators and 1,900 ventilation kits comply with national and international quality standards, which guarantees their safe and effective integration into the hospital's clinical processes. The operational objective focused on ensuring timely, warm, and humane care, in line with the state's health policy.

The reinforcement of the 'Lic. Adolfo López Mateos' Medical Center, with a total investment of 52 million 544 thousand pesos, has expanded regional coverage for the population without social security. This directly impacts the inhabitants of the municipalities of Toluca, Almoloya del Río, Calimaya, Mexicaltzingo, Almoloya de Juárez, Metepec, Zinacantepec, and San Mateo Atenco, consolidating this unit as a key node of hospital care for the Toluca Valley.

This acquisition was integrated into social development and well-being programs, with an emphasis on protecting the most vulnerable sectors of the Mexican population.

The Ministry of Health of the State of Mexico, under the leadership of Macarena Montoya Olvera, coordinated the necessary management to ensure that this equipment would strengthen the services provided in the central zone of the entity. This action directly impacted 1.6 million inhabitants in the central region of the state by strengthening the capacity for care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in critical conditions.

The incorporated equipment is designed to provide temporary respiratory support to people who present acute respiratory failure derived from common ailments such as pneumonia, shock, coma, serious trauma, and in the postoperative period of major surgeries.
