The Attorney General's Office of the State of Hidalgo reported this morning on an operation at the Cruz Azul cement plant in the state. According to the official communiqué, a judicial order is being carried out in compliance with an order from a judge from the State of Mexico for the restitution at the plant. "State authorities of Hidalgo are participating in the operation to provide perimeter security to the population," they report. According to local media, such as La Jornada Hidalgo, since approximately 04:00 in the morning, there has been a police presence in the area due to what is described as the entry and taking possession of the property. Likewise, the detonation of firearms has been reported. Testimonies collected by the medium state that unidentified individuals descended from white pickup trucks during the early morning hours and entered the facilities. On social media, another alleged witness claims there are injured and even a couple of dead from the events, although this information has not been confirmed by any official authority, federal or state.
