Tragic accident on the Mexiquense Outer Circuit

An accident between a trailer and a private car on Tuesday, February 4, on the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense, heading to Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), caused a collapse in traffic. The incident occurred at kilometer 17, near Tultitlán, State of Mexico, leaving the roadway closed because the trailer's box occupied several lanes of the road.

According to reports, the accident was triggered after a trailer grazed a sedan on the highway, causing the trailer driver to lose control and collide with the guardrail. The trailer's maneuver caused it to spin to the left, blocking several lanes of the roadway and generating chaos in traffic.

The situation caused by the accident extended throughout the highway to Cuautitlán Izcalli, leading to the need to seek alternative routes. The Red Cross is already on the scene to attend to the injured, with initial reports indicating that two people were being treated after the crash.

Unfortunately, a woman who was traveling as a co-driver in the sedan lost her life after the trailer collapsed on them. The roadway continues to be affected while efforts are underway to restore vehicle traffic, so caution is advised for drivers.
