The Attorney General of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) has executed an arrest warrant against Diana Jaciel and Lucio David, who are suspected of attempted murder against a newborn. In a viral photograph, a tattoo on Diana's neck that says "Karma" in red letters can be seen, which seems to have anticipated her dark future after abandoning her baby.
In leaked WhatsApp conversations between Diana and Lucio, it is revealed that they planned to dispose of the baby by throwing him into a canal, demonstrating their cruel intention to abandon him. Although Diana tried to blame only Lucio, the Prosecutor's Office found her guilty of the crime of attempted murder against her child.
The abandoned baby was rescued from the streets and taken to a hospital, where they managed to save his life despite having been exposed to the elements for several hours. Diana Jaciel was arrested by the FGJEM after participating in the abandonment of her child along with Lucio David in Tultitlán, State of Mexico. Despite recovering from an allegedly self-induced abortion, she was transferred to the Tlalnepantla prison.
Her health status was reported as stable, and her custody remains under the authorities' care. The paternal grandmother has expressed her desire to fight for custody of the baby to provide him with a home and a family that will care for him.
