The Attorney General of Justice of the State of Zacatecas, Cristian Paul Camacho Osnaya, confirmed that Ángela Aguilar and Christian Nodal were caught in the middle of a shootout. The incident occurred during a State Police operation to execute four arrest warrants. According to the prosecutor, the events began around 5:00 PM on Thursday, resulting from a State Police intervention aimed at detaining four individuals. Among those arrested is a presumed generator of violence linked to a criminal cell with a regional presence. The response from armed groups consisted of direct attacks on security forces on Federal Highway 54, adjacent to the “El Soyate” ranch, property of the Aguilar family. The prosecutor Camacho Osnaya recounted on “Ventaneando” that the artists' encounter with the conflict was fortuitous. “Upon leaving the premises, citizens Aguilar and Nodal witnessed the exchange of gunfire between law enforcement and armed civilians”. The artists' private security team determined an immediate return to the main house to safeguard their integrity. The Prosecutor's Office received a support request at 5:58 PM. Once the sector was under control, Aguilar and Nodal were accompanied in their own vehicles to the airport. State authorities denied unofficial versions that suggested an attempted kidnapping against Christian Nodal. Likewise, they reported that no material damage was recorded to the vehicles of those involved nor physical injuries, despite the detonation of explosive devices.
