The Intermunicipal System of Drinking Water and Sewerage Services (Siapa) has confirmed that urgent repair work will begin on one of the four pumping units at the Federalistas Pumping Station, located in the Parques de Zapopan neighborhood, due to an electromechanical failure.
This unit, responsible for supplying the Federalistas 1 Tank, currently shows a low water level, which is affecting the topographically high areas of the zone, impacting 22 neighborhoods in Zapopan.
The repair work will be carried out in collaboration with the Maintenance of Plants and Wells area, and it is expected that the water supply will be restored by the afternoon of Wednesday, May 7. The population is advised to use water wisely during this time and to stay alert for any updates.
The neighborhoods that will be affected by the interruption of the water supply announced by Siapa include Altagracia, Lomas de Zapopan, La Cima, among others.
To meet the basic needs of the affected citizens, Siapa will provide free assistance through water tankers until the service is fully restored. Those in need of this support can contact Siapa at the phone number 33 3668 2482.
It is important to highlight that this work is considered urgent, as the affected equipment is crucial for water supply in the area. Once repairs are completed, it is expected that service will normalize in the affected neighborhoods.
