Tragic Drowning of Baby in Zapopan

A one-year-old baby drowned in a bucket in the town of Río Blanco, Zapopan, Jalisco. The incident presumably occurred due to the negligence of the parents, who could not prevent the tragedy.

The municipal police received a report through the emergency number 911, alerting about a drowned child in a home located at the intersection of Reforma and Zaragoza streets. The family, distressed, requested the presence of municipal medical services.

Despite the efforts of the paramedics and authorities present at the scene, the baby did not respond to resuscitation attempts, and his death was confirmed. In light of this unfortunate situation, a Public Ministry agent was notified to carry out the necessary investigations.

In this context, the State Unit of Civil Protection and Firefighters of Jalisco calls on the community to create a safe environment at home, especially when minors are present.
