Laisha Oseguera González, the 20-year-old daughter of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias 'El Mencho', had gone unnoticed for at least a decade before she and her boyfriend were accused of kidnapping two members of the Navy in 2021.
Laisha Michelle Oseguera González is the product of the marriage between 'El Mencho' and Rosalinda González Valencia, alias 'La Jefa'. Although Laisha was born in 2001, she would currently be between 23 and 24 years old. Her mother was recently released after serving more than half of her sentence in a women's prison in Morelos.
Laisha came to public attention in 2021 when she wrote a letter requesting a reduced sentence for her sister, Jessica Oseguera González, who was detained in the United States and later released. In the letter, Laisha described Jessica as a dedicated mother to her children.
Laisha and her partner, alias 'El Guacho', were accused of kidnapping two sailors in November 2021 in Jalisco. The sailors were released after a massive search, and it is believed the kidnapping was carried out in hopes of negotiating the release of 'El Mencho's' wife.
Although Laisha is less known than her siblings, Rubén Oseguera 'El Menchito' and Jessica Oseguera, alias 'La Negra', she has been linked to properties in Tijuana. Laisha is listed as the owner of some properties in that city and is also connected to a café in Perris, California.
Despite the accusations against her, so far Laisha's name does not appear in searches by the DEA or the Department of the Treasury, suggesting that she has no formal charges against her.
