Workers of the Judiciary of the Federation protested and suspended work right outside the Judicial City in Zapopan in response to the refusal of the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, to accept legal resources to suspend the Judicial Reform. Around 2,300 workers joined the protest, both in the Judicial City and in the courts of Puente Grande.
José de Jesús García Pérez, secretary of the labor matters collegiate court of the third circuit, explained: "For the moment, we continue with the partial suspension of work, because we are still addressing urgent matters; work has never stopped regarding these issues, prioritizing the urgent needs of society related to the amparo trial."
The workers also expressed their support for the ministers who are part of the Article 41 group, who began press conferences in the morning to inform about the activities of the Judiciary and to refute distorted or erroneous information that, according to them, has been spread in morning conferences.
Regarding the duration of the work suspension, they indicated that it is decided by consensus among the workers week after week through voting. They stated that both employees and heads, judges, or magistrates perform similar activities and that at times they coincide in their positions.
