The Telefónica Movistar México Foundation has launched a new offer of online courses for teachers with the goal of strengthening their training. The courses, aimed at basic education teachers, seek to enhance their skills in the use of technology, educational innovation, and the development of socio-emotional skills in students. The duration of the courses varies, with one being 12 hours and another 8.5 hours.
The course "Introduction to Educational Innovation" is aimed at teachers interested in implementing innovative educational projects, offering a comprehensive view of innovation in education. It is ideal for those working with adolescents. On the other hand, the "Innovation Route - Basic Level" is intended for those who want to learn the fundamentals of educational innovation and acquire tools to transform traditional methodologies and foster creativity in the classroom.
All courses are free, and upon completion, teachers will receive a certificate automatically issued through the Commitment to Education platform. Nidia Chávez, director of the Telefónica Movistar Mexico Foundation, indicated that the goal is for participants to develop 21st-century skills to face the challenges of the digital age and reduce the educational gap.
Those interested can register on the website of the Telefónica Movistar Mexico Foundation, where they will find detailed information about each course. The training will begin on March 17 and end on July 31, 2025. The Foundation reiterates its commitment to education, supporting Mexican teachers to improve their skills and contribute to a more inclusive and innovative education.
In addition to the aforementioned courses, two others are offered: "Life Skills," designed to strengthen essential skills in students, and "Dyslexia in the Classroom," where teachers will learn to identify characteristics and difficulties associated with dyslexia, as well as strategies to support affected students. The courses are available for registration until July 11, 2025.
