So far, it is unknown where and when the events occurred, but the clip has already garnered thousands of views. Stealing clothes from a store constitutes a crime known as theft or simple robbery and is primarily regulated by the Federal Penal Code and the penal codes of the states, such as the Penal Code of the State of Mexico or that of Mexico City. If found guilty, the woman would face a prison sentence of three months to seven years and a fine of up to 600 days of minimum wage, according to Article 370 of the Federal Penal Code.

The recording has surpassed 120,000 views where various comments can be read, such as "How disgusting, they should charge her for the underwear," "Each woman's underwear costs the equivalent of 8 men's t-shirts... who tells them to set such high prices for those rags" or "Don't you all go out on the street wearing 5 or more pairs of underwear?" To the surprise of everyone present, the woman was wearing more than one pair of underwear, which implied that she stole the other garments.

Despite the points being made against her, the woman claimed that all the underwear belonged to her and that she did not steal anything. X is used worldwide to share newsworthy events that would be censored elsewhere. Elon Musk's platform allows each image or video to reach more people, making the complaint more publicized, just as it happened with the woman accused of stealing underwear from a store.

In the video, lasting less than 30 seconds, the moment is observed when the accused was detained by an employee of the place, who forced her to show what she was wearing under her pants.
