Meta Integrates WhatsApp into Account Center

The integration of WhatsApp into the Meta Account Center was announced as an optional feature to facilitate communication between platforms such as Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram. Now, users will be able to easily share status updates or stories between WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, all with a single sign-on.

Meta has emphasized that this integration is completely optional and that the feature is turned off by default, ensuring that WhatsApp messages and calls will remain protected by end-to-end encryption, guaranteeing the privacy of communications.

One of the new features will be avatar management, the use of Meta AI stickers, and the creation of personalized content through the Imagine Me tool. These features will be added over time, further simplifying the user experience in the Account Center.

The integration will allow users to enjoy advantages such as single sign-on, making it easier to access multiple company applications with one account, improving interoperability between platforms. The Account Center, launched in 2023, centralizes settings and security options for the main applications, including password management, ad preferences, and other important settings.

Although the integration of WhatsApp into the Account Center will be rolled out globally, Meta has indicated that the process will take an indefinite amount of time.
