Liga BBVA MX and Nissan Mexico announce a strategic alliance for two years, strengthening women's football and celebrating the commitment to sports in the country.


New alliance between Liga BBVA MX and Nissan

La Liga BBVA MX Femenil and the Liga BBVA MX have announced a new strategic alliance with Nissan Mexico, making the latter the official sponsor of both competitions for the next two years. The agreement, which will be in effect from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026, represents a significant step in strengthening Mexican football alongside a globally recognized brand and leader in its industry.

"This alliance will allow us to reach new audiences and reaffirms our commitment to the development of women's football in Mexico," emphasized Mariana Gutiérrez, president of the Liga BBVA MX Femenil. Additionally, the collaboration with Nissan reinforces shared values of excellence, effort, and passion for the sport, she highlighted.

The Liga BBVA MX has positioned itself as the tenth league with the most followers in the world, the sixth in stadium attendance, and has 17 million followers on social media. In just two matchdays of the 2025 Clausura, 17 young players have made their debut, showing the clubs' commitment to grassroots talent, and 48 goals have been scored, demonstrating the exciting level of the tournament.

Rodrigo Centeno, president and CEO of Nissan Mexicana, expressed that it is a point of pride for the company to believe in the potential of women’s football and that this alliance reinforces the exponential growth of the Liga BBVA MX Femenil in the international sports landscape.

The signing of this sponsorship took place at the home of football in Mexico, with the presence of authorities from Mexican football and representatives from Nissan Mexicana. This collaboration between Nissan, the Liga BBVA MX, and the Liga BBVA MX Femenil aims to strengthen competitions and provide top-level entertainment for fans, as emphasized by Mikel Arriola, Interim Commissioner of the Mexican Football Federation.
