Private security companies affiliated with ASUME have announced their commitment to offer immediate employment to 100,000 Mexicans repatriated from the United States, in response to the recent immigration policies of the Donald Trump administration. ASUME, which groups the 32 most important private security associations in Mexico with over 8,000 affiliated companies, will work together with the Government of Mexico, the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), and local and federal authorities to ensure effective labor integration.
"We are convinced that private security is a motor for economic and social development. Now more than ever, Mexico needs coordinated efforts between the public and private sectors to tackle the social and economic challenges posed by the global environment. ASUME is ready to be part of the solution," stated Armando Zúñiga Salinas, president of ASUME.
The initiative aims not only to support the repatriated individuals but also to strengthen the role of the private security sector in public safety in the country. With training programs certified by recognized organizations, dignified working conditions that include social benefits and competitive salaries, as well as a focus on specific areas with a higher concentration of repatriates to contribute to local development and social cohesion, ASUME is committed to offering formal and dignified jobs to those compatriots seeking to reintegrate into the labor market in Mexico.
