The distribution of the Rita Cetina Scholarship continues in Mexico, benefiting secondary school students. The distribution is taking place in several states until March 28.


Resumption of Rita Cetina Scholarship Card Distribution

The process of delivering Rita Cetina Scholarships cards will conclude on March 28th. So far, 88,576 people have benefited from this card, according to Mario Delgado, head of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP). This Monday, distribution will continue in the states of Morelos, Yucatán, and Veracruz, as announced in a press conference by Claudia Sheinbaum.

Julio León Trujillo, National Coordinator, will lead the delivery operations that will take place in secondary education schools in various states such as Querétaro, Michoacán, Tlaxcala, Quintana Roo, Sonora, Sinaloa, Jalisco, Oaxaca, Chiapas, and the State of Mexico.

Regarding the registration for the Rita Cetina Scholarship, a deadline had been established, but Mario Delgado has confirmed that delayed students can register during the card delivery, from February 5th to March 28th. Documentation such as valid official identification, proof of residence, CURP of the guardians and the enrolled student will be required.

The Rita Cetina Scholarship program will start covering secondary school students and will later extend to primary and preschool levels. The funds will be deposited directly into the Banco del Bienestar cards of the beneficiaries in assemblies to be held at schools. The dates of the assemblies will be communicated in each school to ensure the attendance of the responsible adults of the students.

The delivery of Banco Bienestar cards for students enrolled in public secondary schools resumed on February 17, 2025. During this year, all public secondary school students for the 2024-2025 school year will receive a scholarship of one thousand 900 pesos bimonthly. In cases of two children enrolled in the program, parents will receive an additional 700 pesos per student. The delivery of cards will resume in schools in three states of the Republic.
