Inauguration of Libramiento Juárez-Apodaca Expansion

The mayor of Juárez, Félix Arratia Cruz, has initiated the expansion works of the Juárez-Apodaca bypass, a project that will benefit approximately 100,000 users, especially from the northern area of the municipality. This initiative involved an investment of 47,000,000 pesos and is expected to take around 180 days. During this time, about 7 kilometers will be expanded and 30,000 square meters of asphalt will be placed, allowing an increase from two to four lanes on the Juárez-Apodaca bypass.

The main objective of this expansion is to incorporate an additional lane in each direction to relieve traffic congestion and significantly improve the mobility of Juárez residents. In addition to the expansion, complete paving of certain sections will be carried out to ensure that both the new and existing lanes are in optimal condition to support the flow of vehicles, particularly the freight transport that represents a significant portion of traffic in the area.

The mayor emphasized the importance of this project for Juárez, highlighting that it connects with Guadalupe, Apodaca, and Pesquería. It was emphasized that the project is being carried out using municipal resources due to the financial stability achieved in recent months. Meanwhile, the municipal secretary of Infrastructure and Public Works, César García Cavazos, noted that more than 28,000 vehicles currently circulate daily on this road, with over 25% corresponding to freight transport such as trailers.

In order to minimize inconveniences for drivers in the area, the works will be carried out during the day with proper signage, without interrupting traffic and prioritizing traffic flow in the area at all times.
