The Story Behind the Milk Brand Vaca Blanca

Anthony Hatoum, known as 'El Turco', founded Tiendas 3B in Mexico and launched the milk brand Vaca Blanca. This brand has grown thanks to its affordable prices on dairy products, especially in a competitive market.

The Story Behind the Milk Brand Vaca Blanca

Anthony Haotum, known as 'El Turco', is the owner of the Vaca Blanca milk brand. In 2004, he arrived in Mexico and opened a market that is now known as hard discount stores, which have experienced significant growth after the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the consulting firm Kimetrics, the concept of 'hard discount' chains has been successful due to the combination of low prices and a selection of products. In the Mexican market, there are more economical options for milk, especially private label brands. A popular alternative is the Vaca Blanca brand, owned by Tiendas 3B, whose owner has opened more than 2,000 branches in Mexico.

Anthony Haotum decided to establish his business in Mexico due to the favorable conditions he found in the country. In 2004, he opened the first store of his firm, Vaca Blanca, with his own resources and from local and foreign investors. In addition to dairy products, the brand also markets yogurt and cheese. Other brands launched by Haotum are Mayorela and Milena, specializing in mayonnaise and cookies respectively.

The popularity of the Vaca Blanca brand is due to its competitive price per liter of milk, its visual similarity to the Alpura brand, and the expansion of Tiendas 3B. The chain's goal is to meet customer needs by offering quality products at affordable prices, and Vaca Blanca milk meets these characteristics.

Tiendas 3B offers a wide range of products, from food and beverages to hygiene and household cleaning items. Although the private label milk of 3B was not included in the quality studies by Profeco, its nutritional values can be compared with the standards established by the Federal Consumer Protection Agency. Vaca Blanca milk is whole and contains at least 30 grams of protein per liter, 30 grams of fat, 31 micrograms of vitamin A, and 5 micrograms of vitamin D.

The brand also offers lactose-free milk for those who are lactose intolerant. Anthony Hatoum has successfully expanded his business with Tiendas 3B, which have operations in several states of Mexico and offer a wide variety of products to meet consumer needs.
