Secretary Ariadna Montiel presented the payment calendar for the Well-Being Pension aimed at older adults during the March-April bi-monthly period on Monday. This is the second of the six payments included in this program, which has become a constitutional right granted to all Mexican citizens aged 65 years or older. According to the Constitution, this support will have an annual increase based on the inflation rate, reaching 6,200 pesos bi-monthly by 2025, which represents an increase of 3% compared to the previous year.
The Ministry of Well-Being coordinates payments for four support programs, including the Pension for Older Adults, Persons with Disabilities, the program for Working Mothers, and the Pension for Women aged 62 to 65 years. Payments will be distributed according to the calendar established by last name, with specific dates for each group throughout March, with no payments on weekends and a scheduled interruption on March 17 due to the Benito Juárez holiday.
Registration to access the Well-Being Pension is conducted every two months, with registration dates announced by the Ministry of Well-Being. The last registration window closed on February 28, so the next registration period will open in April to receive support in the following bi-monthly periods.
Additionally, it was informed that beneficiaries in Durango and Veracruz will receive a double payment of the Well-Being Pension in March, totaling 12,400 pesos, due to the suspension of payments for electoral processes taking place in those states on June 1, 2025. The Ministry of Well-Being will suspend its programs during the electoral ban to avoid interfering in those processes.
For registration in the Well-Being Pension, documents such as a valid official ID, CURP, legible birth certificate, proof of address, and contact details are required. If a person wishes to register an auxiliary person, who can carry out procedures on behalf of another, the same documents must be presented.
