Registered individuals in the Welfare Pension program for seniors will begin receiving the second payment of the year starting this Monday, March 3rd. This social program has an amount of 6,200 pesos and is established as a right in the Constitution, so the State has the responsibility to guarantee its delivery. Beneficiaries will receive the payment corresponding to the bi-month of March-April through the Banco del Bienestar card.
After the deposit of the payment, beneficiaries do not need to withdraw the money on the same day, as it will remain in the account until they decide to use it. According to the Government, currently the Welfare Pension for Seniors is benefiting 12.3 million people in 2025.
Regarding the deposits, these will begin on March 3rd and end on the 27th of the same month. The breakdown for this week is as follows: March 3rd for last names starting with A, March 4th for B, March 5th and 6th for C, and March 7th for D, E, and F.
To receive the welfare pension for seniors, it is necessary to meet certain requirements, such as being 65 years or older, being Mexican by birth or naturalization with residence in Mexico, presenting a birth certificate, a valid identification document, CURP, proof of residence or residency certificate, and filling out the Unique Welfare Format.
The enrollment periods for the Welfare Pension program occur every two months, with the next one in April. It is important for beneficiaries to be aware of the dates and requirements to receive and enjoy this support.
