PAN leader calls for action against US tariffs

The national president of the National Action Party (PAN), Jorge Romero, has expressed his concern about the imposition of tariffs by the United States on Mexico, urging an end to what he has termed "the tariff war". Romero pointed out that this type of trade confrontation does not benefit either party involved, but rather affects the citizens of both countries with price increases and a reduction in the variety of available products.

"We cannot be at the mercy of threats every month, depending on the moods of any character," emphasized the PAN leader, calling for an immediate response from the Mexican Government in the face of the 25% tariffs that recently came into effect. Romero stressed the need for decisive and effective action, without waiting too long to present a plan of action.

Additionally, the president of the PAN emphasized the importance of diversifying Mexico's trade relations without compromising its ties with the United States. In this sense, he advocated for public policies that promote the diversification of exports and the substitution of imports, without falling into the politicization of the situation.

In another vein, Jorge Romero again criticized the judicial reform in Mexico, arguing that this measure is harming investment and job creation in the country. He also called for intensifying the fight against drug cartels with greater determination to combat this scourge that affects Mexican society.
