New Pension Scheme for Women in Mexico

Starting from August 4, women aged 60 to 64 can register for the Pension Women Well-being, aimed at enhancing their economic independence and quality of life. The program is part of ongoing efforts to support vulnerable groups, with millions already benefiting.


New Pension Scheme for Women in Mexico

Beneficiaries have the option to withdraw their pension or program payments at ATMs of any bank, as well as at the counter of the Banco del Bienestar. They also have the option to shop at self-service stores or pay at commercial establishments with a bank terminal.

According to Secretary Montiel Reyes, from Monday, August 4, to Saturday, August 30, women aged 60 to 64 can enroll in the Women’s Wellbeing Pension, which acknowledges a lifetime of work, promoting their economic independence and improving their quality of life. Registration will open every two months.

Regarding the Health and Wellbeing Census of the Casa por Casa Health Program, it was mentioned that 6 million 882 thousand 976 Elderly and Persons with Disabilities have been surveyed and visited in their homes, and that 18 thousand 038 facilitators are being trained to monitor their health.

During the morning conference "The People's Mornings," led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the Secretary of Wellbeing, Ariadna Montiel Reyes, detailed that the payment dispersion operation corresponding to the March-April bi-monthly cycle of Pensions and Wellbeing Programs will benefit 5.8 million beneficiaries of various programs, with a social investment of 35.9 million pesos.

Montiel Reyes presented the payment progress, reminding that the bank dispersion will take place from March 3 to 27, organized according to the letter of the first surname of the beneficiary. For inquiries about the payment schedule, one can access the official page of the Secretary of Wellbeing. The bank dispersion is carried out without intermediaries through the Banco del Bienestar and highlighted the progress of the Government of Mexico in implementing Community Assemblies in Wellbeing Stores.
