New Call for Vehicle Deposits in Jalisco

The Secretariat of Administration of Jalisco authorizes 17 new vehicle deposits. The aim is to ensure state coverage and avoid clandestine sites.

New Call for Vehicle Deposits in Jalisco

The Jalisco Secretary of Administration, through the General Directorate of Vehicle Deposits and Custody, has launched a new call to authorize 17 new private vehicle deposits with the aim of expanding coverage in various regions of the state. These new spaces will be added to the 13 authorized in the 2024 fiscal year.

The Authorized Vehicle Deposits register the inventory of each vehicle from its entry, both physically and digitally, and this information is available for public consultation on the state’s official platform. Those interested in obtaining an authorization must comply with the Technical Standard established in February 2025 and consult the requirements and deadlines in the official call.

Among the necessary requirements are proving ownership of the property, having at least one hectare of surface area and a perimeter fence of certain height, installing video surveillance, obtaining a Civil Protection report, insurance policy, and municipal permits. Once the documentation is validated, the property will be inspected by trained personnel to ensure efficient service.

It is important to mention that the goal is to ensure that in each region of Jalisco there is at least one Authorized Vehicle Deposit in order to ensure state coverage. Non-compliance with regulations in irregular sites may lead to problems with inadequate vehicle custody, as well as unattended property claims.

The regions where these new deposits are intended to be installed include the North, Altos Norte, Altos Sur, Ciénaga, South, Sierra de Amula, Costa Sur, Costa Sierra-Occidental, and Central of the state with the purpose of preventing the clandestinity in vehicle custody, ensuring that vehicles are only sent to authorized deposits and not to places without the necessary security and civil protection measures.
