The Retirement Fund Administrator (Afore) highlights that the majority of women face job instability and lower salaries, emphasizing the importance of voluntary savings to ensure a dignified pension in the future. In this regard, XXI Banorte emphasizes that women have shown trust in the institution to grow their individual retirement funds, thereby promoting their economic independence.
In the context of the importance of retirement savings, the Afore is committed to financial inclusion and notes that voluntary contributions made by women increased by 35% in 2024. This effort is reflected in 267,758 female clients making at least one extra contribution to their accounts, representing a 28% increase compared to the previous year. With more than 1 million 123 thousand registered voluntary savings accounts, of which 436 thousand belong to women, and a balance of 32 billion pesos, these figures reinforce the growing importance of financial planning among women.
XXI Banorte emphasizes that saving for retirement has become a conscious and voluntary decision for women, seeking to generate higher returns for future expenses, investments, or to increase the amount of the pension. It is essential to consider that women's life expectancy is higher than that of men, which is why the institution offers educational tools and personalized advice to ensure a better retirement for women.
