SAT Extends Hours for Annual Tax Declaration Support

The Tax Administration Service (SAT) announced that it will extend its office hours to help taxpayers who need assistance with their Annual Declaration 2024, the deadline for individuals being April 30. The service hours will be extended from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day of the week.

According to the official SAT announcement, the Annual Declaration can be submitted at any time through the SAT Portal. It is important to remember that the Annual Declaration is a requirement for those who have had certain types of income during the fiscal year.

Among those required to submit the Annual Declaration are those who received a salary from a single employer and stopped working before December 31, those who had income from different salaries, and those who worked for multiple employers simultaneously, among other specific cases detailed in the Income Tax Law.

Additionally, those who obtained income from professional services, business activities, rental of real estate, interest, dividends, among other sources, must also submit their declaration.

To submit the Annual Declaration correctly, it is necessary to have a Password or e.signature that allows access and identification of the taxpayer on the SAT portal and the Tax Mailbox.

In case of questions or needing guidance regarding the Annual Declaration 2024, the SAT provides different service channels for taxpayers such as MarcSAT, online chat on the official website, OrientaSAT, and the Virtual Office, the latter requiring a prior registered appointment.
