During the 88th Banking Convention, Julio Carranza, president of the Mexican Banking Association (ABM), noted a significant positive change in the sector. He highlighted that banking supports the development of Mexico beyond the digital realm, even signing agreements with the federal government to improve access to financing for SMEs as part of the Mexico Plan.
Carranza explained that competition in the banking sector will intensify in the future with the arrival of new digital participants. In this scenario, he emphasized that the key is for the quality of service to define the winners, leaving the decision in the hands of the customers.
The digitization of financial services has transformed the way banks approach users. To adapt to this evolution, financial entities have invested in modernizing their systems to meet market demands.
Julio Carranza foresees a promising outlook for companies venturing into this digitized environment. In his opinion, the solid transformation of the banking sector in Mexico over the last decade lays the groundwork to positively seize the opportunities that arise in the new financial landscape.
