Juárez Mayor Inaugurates New Roadway to Improve Mobility

The mayor of Juárez, Félix Arratia Cruz, accompanied by the president of DIF, Mónica Oyervides Acosta, inaugurated the paving work on Avenida Las Margaritas, a strategic roadway that significantly improves the mobility and safety of residents in the Quinta Las Sabinas, Hacienda Santa Lucía, and Villas de Oriente neighborhoods.

During the event, the mayor highlighted that this project responds to a historical need, as the roadway lacked adequate conditions for traffic for years.

"For decades, residents made requests that were not addressed; today we are changing that reality," said the mayor.

He added that what was once an unsafe and limited roadway is now being transformed into a functional space that allows for safe transit between neighborhoods, reducing risks and improving the quality of life for families in the sector.

The mayor also noted that the area was recently benefited with the addition of new units on route 223, which attend to the growing transportation demand derived from the accelerated and disorderly development that occurred in previous years, and which generated an important backlog in public services.

Likewise, he explained that due to the contraflow applied on the Carretera a Reynosa, residents faced difficulties traveling to the municipality's central area, a situation that is now considerably improved with the opening of this roadway.

"Never before had any government taken care of making a proper connection between these neighborhoods. I am very pleased to deliver this paving; we will not stop. Previously, the street was a dirt road and had stairs that hindered proper connectivity for both pedestrians and drivers."

"We assumed the mission of putting Juárez in order from the first day."
