Heineken Launched a New Presentation of Tecate Light

The brewing company Heineken has launched a new presentation of Tecate Light that includes a touch of Gulf of Mexico salt, an ingredient that may not be to the liking of the President of the United States, Donald Trump. Martha García, Vice President of Marketing for Heineken Mexico, emphasized that this innovation is part of the company's commitment to maintain the preference of beer-loving consumers in the country.

Tecate Light is a beer with a long tradition in Mexico, having won over Mexicans since its creation in 1944 on the northern border. The inclusion of Gulf of Mexico salt in this new presentation aims to highlight its origin and connect with Mexican pride. Nicolás Álvarez Schiano, Communications Director for Tecate, mentioned that this variant of Tecate Light offers a different experience by enhancing the flavors and making it more versatile for pairing.

To promote Tecate Light with Gulf of Mexico Salt, the company has organized an experience called Bar Gulf of Mexico, which will take place over the next two months. The beer is expected to be available initially only in this bar to assess consumer acceptance, and will later reach SIX stores in Monterrey, Mérida, and Hermosillo in June. The company invites interested parties to stay tuned for the dynamics that will be announced on their social media to be among the first to try this innovative version of Tecate Light.
