Pedro Sola, the renowned host of Ventaneando, recently revealed that before dedicating himself to television, he studied a degree in Economics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) because he found it to be an easy career. Sola mentioned that his mother worked at the Ministry of Finance and, influenced by her, he decided to enter that field, which allowed him to have flexible hours and did not involve intensive math study.
The Ventaneando presenter had aspirations to become an actor and enrolled in theater workshops since his father did not allow him to study acting at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at UNAM. Before getting involved in the television world, Pedro Sola had work experience at the Ministry of Finance, where he worked translating laws from other countries into Spanish.
However, he decided to resign from that job due to workplace harassment issues from one of his bosses. Despite not having followed a formal acting career, Sola has excelled in television and has become a beloved figure among the public. During his university years, he met various politicians, such as Carlos Salinas de Gortari and José Francisco Ruiz Massieu, among others, who were also studying at UNAM at that time.
