In April, Kia Motors sold 8,371 light vehicles, representing a decrease of 1.01% compared to the same month last year. However, the company's market share in that month was 7.73%, an increase from the 7.45% recorded in April 2024.
According to the Mexican Association of Automotive Distributors (AMDA), in the first four months of this year, Kia sold 34,679 vehicles, showing an increase of 4.27% compared to the same period last year. This has led to Kia's accumulated market share reaching 7.33%, surpassing the 7.13% recorded in the first four months of last year.
A market analyst pointed out that the growth in Kia's market share is due to its outstanding performance compared to the overall market. Despite the 1.01% decline in April sales, the market as a whole experienced a larger decrease of 4.58%. Cumulatively, Kia's sales increase was 4.27%, outperforming market growth, which was 1.41%.
