The municipality of San Pedro Garza García has started the construction of the second stage of the Gómez Morín overpass, at its intersection with Calzada del Valle and Avenida Vasconcelos. This is a key project to improve mobility in one of the city's most congested areas. Mayor Mauricio Farah launched this phase of the project, aimed at fundamentally solving the traffic circulation in the zone. Following the first stage, which included the relocation of the 'Los Tubos' monument, the structural phase of the project now begins, considered the core of the engineering intervention to correct vehicle flow and modernize the urban environment. This work will align the roadways and increase the capacity of the three avenues, allowing for a more orderly, agile, and safe circulation. 'Through this initiative, we seek not only to improve the quality of life for our residents but also to promote sustainable urban development that meets the current and future needs of our community,' added Luis Susarrey, Secretary of San Pedro. 'For us, the start of this second stage of this 'mega-project' is very important,' said the mayor. 'As you will recall, many years ago this was a roundabout that worked very well for those times, but well, in these times, it has no longer been sufficient.'
