Mexico's Economic and Political Crisis

The article analyzes the complex economic situation in Mexico, rising yields, industrial problems, and the impact of propaganda on society. It also touches on political events, including the conflict with Iran and actions of local politicians.

This is another blow to the media, aimed at reducing criticism and magnifying praise. However, long-term yields continue to rise, pressured by both the government deficit and the international situation. If there were any doubt about the reasons, The Economist dedicated a couple of texts to Mexico in its latest issue, where you will find many things you have read here before, but the reach of the world's most prestigious magazine on these topics is on a different scale. If exports continue to grow, it is due to the electronics industry, which does not generate jobs to the same extent: it has created 15,000, which are good, but they do not compensate for what seems to be a collapse in the former leader of manufacturing. It was necessary to mention all of this before you focus on the meditation and penance that Mexicans are accustomed to during these holy days. The morning propaganda must be the only way of thinking in Mexico, they believe, but that is already impossible unless they also want to control the space of social networks, as clearly authoritarian regimes do: China, Russia, Iran. We could not refer to the lowness of the Morena faction in the Senate, which started shouting 'Moron!' in front of the visit of Greece Quiroz, widow of Carlos Manzo. Three Gulf countries are asking for it to end, while three others want it to continue until Iran is incapacitated from attacking. He is also a pre-candidate for Morena for the governorship, which will be decided next year. Regarding the war with Iran, we have not referred to it for days. The yield curve is becoming steeper, and I think that could feed stagflation. In this regard, I think the stagnation of the economy has been confirmed with January's data, and with high-frequency information, which goes up to March. What seems clear is that it has already gone sour, and there is no easy way out. Despite this, Trump is lifting sanctions on Russia, which in any case cannot take advantage of the high price of oil because Ukraine has disabled two of Russia's three maritime exits, in the Black Sea and the Baltic. We have not had the opportunity to comment on the Bank of Mexico's decision: to lower the interest rate, contrary to what all central banks have done. Raúl Morón, senator from Michoacán for Morena, has been accused of being a possible instigator, or intellectual author, of Manzo's murder. In part, it is difficult to get a clear idea of what is happening, because in all wars, as you know, the first victim is information. For example, we have not been able to analyze in detail the double blow suffered by Sheinbaum in her attempt to control the elections solely for the benefit of her party. Everything indicates that Russia is supplying intelligence to Iran, which has allowed it to destroy not an insignificant part of the US equipment. So many things happen that it is impossible to talk about all of them. In both texts, they call on Sheinbaum to free the private sector and truly boost investment. By the way, we also could not comment that the automotive industry (transport equipment sector) has lost 100,000 jobs since 2024, 80% of them in suppliers and auto parts. That double attempt confirmed the exclusive nature of the movement, which we have here characterized as one of its four fundamental characteristics, making its long-term permanence practically impossible: exclusive, undisciplined, voracious, and incompetent. There was also no possibility of talking about the trickery of the Treasury, which expels a hundred authorized charitable organizations, and includes among them the 'Think Tanks' that bother it the most: IMCO, México Evalúa, Mexicanos Primero, Mexicanos contra la Corrupción e Impunidad, among several others.
