The Latin multinational AJEMEX was distinguished with the Corporate Equality and Inclusion Award 2025, a recognition granted by the Government of the State of Nuevo León that, for the first time, seeks to make visible and strengthen the best business practices in terms of inclusion, sustainability, and social responsibility. The award ceremony took place during the III ESG Nuevo León Forum, a space that brings together key actors from the public, private, and social sectors to drive a common agenda around environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. In this context, the distinction for AJE's Mexican division represents a recognition of its comprehensive commitment to building more equitable and sustainable environments. The award was granted following the company's participation, which has one of its production plants in the entity, in a project developed under a co-investment scheme with Sociedad Sostenible A.C. and the Secretariat of Inclusion and Equality of Nuevo León. This project is aimed at strengthening environmental culture, promoting sustainable development, and fostering community participation in actions for the protection and restoration of the environment. According to the organizers of AJEMEX, this initiative is expected to have a direct impact on at least 100 people, with an estimated multiplier effect of up to 400 beneficiaries, by encouraging the adoption of responsible practices and generating collective awareness about caring for the environment. Likewise, this collaborative approach reflects the importance of strategic alliances to amplify results and consolidate sustainable long-term changes. For the Latin company, the Corporate Equality and Inclusion Award 2025, which it received along with 25 other large companies, not only validates its efforts in corporate social responsibility but also reaffirms its vision of integrating sustainability as a transverse axis of its operations. In this sense, AJEMEX has highlighted that these types of initiatives are part of its commitment to generating shared value, promoting the well-being of the communities where it has a presence. Meanwhile, with the award, the Government of Nuevo León sets a precedent in promoting inclusive and sustainable business practices, while positioning the private sector as a fundamental ally in building a more equitable and resilient development.
