The company will allocate one billion pesos (approximately 50 million dollars) to expand its operations in Nuevo León. This project is focused on the development of advanced technology and is expected to generate 250 new jobs in the state. From the company's headquarters, the state official highlighted that Hyundai Mobis is the technological arm of automotive giants like KIA and Hyundai. The investment, scheduled to begin this year, will focus on strategic innovation sectors. 'Today they confirm that they continue to expand; at least this summer they will invest another 50 million dollars in technology in the area of autonomous vehicles and chips,' informed the governor. García emphasized that these actions are part of a constant economic promotion strategy for the state. 'This way we are continuously talking to companies and that is why we have been securing investments almost daily and ensuring that this translates into good jobs'. The Korean company already has a strong presence in the municipality of Pesquería, where it began operations with an initial investment of 430 million dollars. By the end of 2025, the company had reached a cumulative investment of 695 million dollars in the state, consolidating itself as a pillar of the regional automotive cluster. Currently, Hyundai Mobis manufactures a wide range of components, including: automotive modules and chassis systems; safety systems, airbags, brakes, and fascias; electronic components and battery systems for its electrification strategy. With a workforce that exceeded 4,000 employees by the end of 2025, the company contemplates expanding its areas of electronics, lighting, and electrification in the future, reaffirming its commitment to the technological development of Nuevo León.
