Qrobús User Growth in Querétaro Reaches 36% with Policy Improvements

The Municipal Secretary of Mobility for Querétaro stated that better public policies that make the city and state more efficient bring opportunities for all citizens. Cuanalo Santos highlighted that in the last four and a half years, his department implemented Qrobús bonuses, expanded the Tarifa Unidos program, increased the number of charging centers, and created a pet registry. He said these actions improved service efficiency and user experience, resulting in economic savings. The president of the Federation of Colleges and Associations of Professionals of the State of Querétaro, Mayela Portos Hernández, recognized the importance of public transport for citizens and called on the private sector to unite on mobility issues, mainly for their employees. She noted that a state's mobility represents its economy and many aspects of life, impacting everyone who works in businesses, homes, and elsewhere. According to data from the State Mobility Agency of Querétaro (Ameq), the number of users of the Qrobús transport system increased by 36% in 2025 compared to the previous year. During a meeting with local business leaders, the head of the agency, Gerardo Cuanalo, attributed the user growth to improvements implemented during his tenure, with the introduction of various payment methods to eliminate cash payments being a key measure. “Mobility becomes an instrument to generate a better quality of life for everyone living in the state, which is why we can see the progress in this matter,” he stated.
