Mexico's Energy and Innovation Fair Concludes Successfully

The Secretariat of Energy (SENER) reports that the Energy and Innovation Fair for Transformation and Well-being, held on April 14 and 15, was successfully concluded, positioning itself as a space for meeting, learning, and collaboration between the public, private, academic, and social sectors. During the two days of activities, the National Museum of Energy and Technology (MUNET) recorded a total attendance of 4,526 people—with 2,618 attendees on the first day and 1,908 on the second—reflecting the great interest generated by energy and innovation topics in the country. Proof of this was the extensive media coverage the Fair achieved, including four front-page stories, which amplified its national impact. The event featured the participation of 988 high school and university students; the installation of 125 booths from companies, associations, educational institutions, and public sector entities; the delivery of 10 conferences, 22 workshops, and 6 activities; and the notable participation of 250 people in the energy efficiency course. As part of the Fair's activities, 18 schools presented innovative prototypes, of which 10 projects were recognized and 6 were awarded by SENER, highlighting the young talent and their commitment to sustainable energy development. Additionally, as part of the recreational activities, over 2,000 passports were distributed to guide and record visitors' tours of the booths. The Fair saw the participation of high-level officials who gave conferences on relevant topics for the present and future of energy in Mexico, including the General Director of the Federal Electricity Commission, the undersecretaries of Electricity, Hydrocarbons, and Energy Planning and Transition of SENER, and the head of the National Energy Commission (CNE). Furthermore, the National Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy (CONUEE), the National Institute of Electricity and Clean Energies (INEEL), the National Energy Control Center (CENACE), the Mexican Oil Institute (IMP), and the National Nuclear Research Institute (ININ) had a prominent presence. Similarly, the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), the National Natural Gas Control Center (CENAGAS), and the National Nuclear Safety and Safeguards Commission (CNSNS) also participated. The Secretariat of Energy recognizes and thanks all attendees, as well as the commitment of the energy sector actors, whose collaboration made the success of this meeting possible.
