The Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services, and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur) revealed that during Buen Fin 2024, Mexicans will spend more than 28 million pesos per minute, totaling 165 billion 500 million pesos between Friday, November 15, and Monday, November 18. This spending represents a 10% increase compared to the event held last year, which generated revenues of 150 billion 500 million pesos.
According to Octavio de la Torre de Steffano, president of Concanaco, it is estimated that Mexicans will have a daily spending of 41 billion 375 million pesos during Buen Fin, with an average expenditure of 1 billion 724 million per hour. This figure greatly exceeds previous records and demonstrates the success of this campaign of offers and discounts.
To put these figures into perspective, the projected sales of 165 billion pesos for Buen Fin would, for instance, equal the purchase of 12.7 million 70-inch 4K screens or 20.6 million iPads, or even cover and gift 16.5 million PlayStation consoles for the next Christmas.
Regarding participation in Buen Fin, this year it is expected that more than 190,000 businesses, stores, and service providers will join the initiative, which represents a significant increase compared to previous records. Octavio de la Torre highlighted the commercial interest in this event and the importance of having more and more companies participate in it.
In an effort to attract a larger number of establishments, Concanaco has promoted the affiliation of producers and service providers with state brand distinctions, involving governors and secretaries of Economic Development and Tourism in the initiative.
On the other hand, during the event, it was announced that the National Workers' Consumption Fund Institute (Fonacot) will offer loans to workers to participate in Buen Fin. These loans can be of up to 4 months of the worker's salary, with a Total Annual Cost of 25%, which includes commissions and interests, as well as additional loans for those with existing loans.
