The upcoming holiday on Monday, November 18, is approaching, and many wonder if they will have to work or not. The Federal Labor Law protects the labor rights of workers on this holiday. According to the law, those who must work on Monday, November 18, should receive an additional payment, which corresponds to one regular working day plus extra.
On the other hand, if working on Sunday, November 17, the day of the Revolution, a Sunday bonus equivalent to one-quarter of your salary must be received. It is important to highlight that this year the bridge for the Day of the Revolution is considered one of the most important, as it coincides with the Good End event in Mexico, a holiday that offers discounts on products from different stores.
The bridge on November 18 is aimed at formal workers and students from public and private schools affiliated with the SEP. In case of having to work during this holiday, the Federal Labor Law establishes that employers must compensate their workers with a triple payment, that is, the normal salary plus a remuneration of double that day.
