The Secretary of Economic Development (SEDECO) of Jalisco awarded the Jalisco Export Award 2024 to eight outstanding entities in foreign trade. These recognitions underscore the diversity and innovative capacity of the export sector of Jalisco.
Claudia Villarruel Enriquez, director of Foreign Trade of SEDECO, emphasized that this award represents "twenty-five years of stability and teamwork," while highlighting Jalisco as an "economic locomotive of the country" and a representative of Mexico's export potential.
In addition to receiving the Award, the awarded entities will have access to a detailed assessment of their performance in foreign trade, allowing them to optimize processes and strategies to strengthen their competitive advantage in international markets.
During Enrique Alfaro's administration, Jalisco has reached the historic figure of 168 billion dollars in exports, positioning itself as the national leader among non-bordering states. This amount reflects the impact of policies that promote the diversification and expansion of Jalisco's products and services abroad.
The Jalisco Export Award, celebrating its 25th edition, has consolidated itself as the highest state distinction for institutions, companies, and organizations that promote the internationalization of Jalisco's products and services, fostering competitiveness and economic growth in the state.
On this occasion, seven companies and one academic institution were recognized, among which are Lusio México, La Cofradía, Philip Morris México, Premezclas Energéticas Pecuarias, Flextronics Technologies México, MBGE Intersistemas, UNI-Trade Brokers, and the University Center for Economic and Administrative Sciences (CUCEA) of the University of Guadalajara.
