This Friday, marking the start of Buen Fin, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) announced the elimination of tax incentives on fuels. According to the publication on November 15 in the Official Diary of the Federation (DOF), no support for gasoline is expected for the coming week. This decision coincides with the holiday of the Day of the Mexican Revolution, leaving the price of the Special Tax on Products and Services (IEPS) on fuels unchanged from November 16 to 22.
Regarding tax incentives for gasoline, Magna gasoline will not have support this week, maintaining the payment of IEPS at 6.17 pesos. Premium gasoline will also not receive a tax incentive, keeping the IEPS amount at 5.21 pesos, a situation that has been unchanged for more than a year.
Diesel will also not receive any support this week, with an IEPS price of 6.7 pesos. Since the week of July 13 to 19, this fuel has not received any percentage of assistance from the Ministry of Finance.
Tax incentives represent the percentage of aid provided by the Ministry of Finance for the payment of gasoline, and these are announced weekly through publication in the DOF. Claudia Sheinbaum's government committed to not applying 'gasoline hikes' in the next six years and assured that fuel prices will not exceed inflation.
