Regarding Sheinbaum's statements about the Economic Package 2025, the president mentioned that this will include minor changes in the Fiscal Miscellany and a significant reallocation of Budget resources. She emphasized the importance of the republican austerity effort and assured that it will not affect the operation of the country, although there will be adjustments.
Regarding a possible tax reform in 2025, Sheinbaum indicated that the first goal will be to increase government revenue through other means, such as customs. She added that if additional reforms are necessary, they will be worked on over the next year, but she believes there are revenue-raising opportunities without the need for deep tax reform.
Regarding the salary cap for 2025, according to the Economic Package 2025, Claudia Sheinbaum's monthly net salary will be 134 thousand 290 pesos, with a 30 percent income tax deduction. Annually, the president will receive a total of 2 million 69 thousand 170 pesos.
In addition to her salary, Sheinbaum makes annual contributions to Social Security of 86 thousand 662 pesos, solidarity savings of 25 thousand 405 pesos, and vacation premium of 17 thousand 656 pesos. Among the benefits is also the bonus, following the line that no public official earns more than President Claudia Sheinbaum.
