The Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) has launched an official WhatsApp broadcast channel as part of its ongoing effort to improve connectivity and communication with its community. The main objective of this channel is to facilitate access to the most relevant information about the institution, removing barriers and promoting direct interaction with students, faculty, and other members of the university community.
Complementing the functionality of the e-UANL Digital Campus application, the WhatsApp channel solidifies as a key tool to keep all members of the university community informed. Through this channel, students, faculty, and members of the University will be able to receive notifications about calls for applications, events, procedures, and news, keeping them updated on the most relevant activities of UANL.
According to an official statement from the institution, this initiative aims to generate interaction and keep students connected with the updates from the Highest House of Studies in the State. It is highlighted that the WhatsApp broadcast channel respects the privacy of subscribers by not sharing their phone number or personal data with other members.
Furthermore, this digital innovation adds to other technological solutions adopted by UANL to adapt to current communication dynamics. It is also mentioned that the university already has the e-UANL Digital Campus mobile application, available for iOS and Android systems, which provides access to school services such as SIASE, Nexus, and Microsoft Teams, as well as a transportation section that offers preferential rates in public transport.
