Mega bridge in Mexico for Basic Education

The Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) has confirmed the existence of several long weekends for preschool, primary, and secondary students in Mexico throughout the year. These long weekends will be celebrated in commemoration of important events for the country.

The first one will be from Saturday, February 1 to Monday, February 3, due to the anniversary of the Mexican Constitution. Classes will be suspended on Friday, January 31 for the ordinary session of the School Technical Council.

Monday, February 3 will be an official day off in honor of the Political Constitution of Mexico. Workers who provide their services will have the right to receive payment corresponding to their normal daily wage, plus an additional amount, as established by law.

This long weekend will not only affect students of basic education but also those studying at institutions such as UNAM, IPN, UAM, and various private schools. It is a break in the school year that will allow students and teachers to enjoy a well-deserved rest and spend time with their families.

Additionally, it is reported that February 3 is declared a mandatory day off according to the Federal Labor Law. This document, composed of 136 articles, guarantees constitutional rights and the division of Powers: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial.

For the year 2025, it is anticipated that there will be four long weekends, or breaks, which will represent excellent opportunities to plan family getaways. These dates are ideal for enjoying a well-deserved break and strengthening family bonds.
